A VISIT FROM NANNY STARTED IT ALL

My sister came to visit with her puppies and Gabe absolutely loved her little Havanese Matilda. Gabe and Caleb helped walk her dogs every day. Tootsie is much too large for them to walk and cuddle. Nanny suggested that we get them a Cairn Terrier. So I began searching online, with the help of big sis, and of course there were no breeders nearby. There were plenty in PA so Nanny said if we coud find one in PA she would pick it up and bring it down when she returns in a few weeks. Now I had some reservations about ever getting the dog from her once she had it especially since she wanted one for herself.
Then while we were out today Jim suggested we stop by the local pet store and there he was waiting for us.
OUR NEW BABY BUDDY BARE

It was love at first sight! Naturally all Gabe and Caleb had to say was "Daddy can we keep him" and it was a done deal! The tough Marine is always brought to his knees by his little guys.
Tootsie has been a very patient big sister just allowing him to nibble on her. That's my girl!
He will be about 15 pounds or less and they are excellent with children. So he is just right for our little guys to love, walk and care for.

Isn't he too cute!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAY

My beautiful friend Fay is 50 today! Just kidding! I do not have any pictures of her because we spend all our time together laughing. Although, the photographer at Jim's change of command did capture the allusive Fay on film.

I hope you have a great day!! I miss you and love you my dear friend. Hopefully, I will be out there in two weeks. Hey can we have birthday cake when I come visit? You have been a Godsend these past couple of months. Thanks for being there and caring! I really cherish your friendship! I would be remiss if I did not wish Fay's twin sister Kay a Happy Birthday as well!

MY NEW GREAT NEPHEW
DOMINIC ROBERT

He arrived yesterday weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 1/2 inches.
I used to change Marshas' diapers(sorry about sticking you with a pin once) and now she is a MOM! He is a beautiful little guy who reminds me of his mommy when she was born, also with a head full of black hair.
The proud Daddy!

My other niece Chrissy with her brand new nephew. It is very wierd to think of them as adults when it seems not too long ago that I held them as babies. I hope to be able to hold this little guy soon!
Congratulations Marsha and Jesse!
He is BEAUTIFUL just as I knew he would be!
I love and miss you all very much and wish I could have been there!
WOW Lynn you are OLD, GRANDMA!

JIM'S PORTRAIT
Sgt McCrohan, one of Jim's Marines from Camp Johnson, painted this portrait of him. He called Jim and asked him to re-enlist him and surprised him with this awesome painting. Jim was so touched and honored. He told Jim that his leadership and mentoring during his time at camp Johnson had meant so much to him and the other Marines at Combat Camera so they wanted to do something special for him. This Marine, a combat illustrator, has amazing talent and knocked this painting out in Just three days. Naturally I hung it in Jim's Marine room.
Several of his Marines and civilian Marines from Camp Johnson signed the back and were present for the presentation. This is such a huge testament to the kind of Marine and person he is. Of course, I know what an awesome man I have been blessed with having in my life.
I LOVE YOU HHB!
