DOMINIC'S FIRST VISIT WITH SANTA

Apparently it was a family affair with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Sam. First Grandbaby!
I am not sure what they are making the child wear but maybe his GREAT Aunt Marcy needs to give them some fashion tips. I know, it does look cute!

Who dat?

He is a real sweetie!
I know, if my sister has anything to say about it, this first Christmas will be all about him

ZACH UPDATE
Before surgery my guy was so nervous his legs were shaking but he did great.
Zach's surgery went well and he tolerated the anesthetics remarkably well. Other than the pain, he felt pretty good after surgery.

PRAYER FOR OUR GUITAR HERO
Please say a quick prayer for Zach he will be having surgery tomorrow to fix his broken finger. Unfortunately, after re-breaking and setting his finger over a week ago x-rays today showed it to be very out of place. So he will be getting a pin put in to hold it in place to heal. It is an out patient procedure however, he will be receiving anesthsia which always worries me. He has never had surgery before so he is a little nervous but I am confident it will go well. Just please keep him in your prayers for a safe surgery and easy recovery.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACH

Since Zach wanted a guitar for his birthday and is a huge Hannah Montana fan I knew this was the cake for him as soon as I saw it. The guitar has blue glitter lip gloss inside and we all know how much he loves lip gloss, especially blue glitter!
Unfortunately, Zach decided to dislocate and fracture his pinkie playing basketball at school the day before his birthday. Apparently Zach doesn't "got game!"
Zach's dad and stepmother came down for his birthday. Gabe and Caleb call them Pop pop and Mom mom which cracks us up. Apparently Ron looks like a pop pop and well Jennifer is pop pops wife so naturally she is mom mom. Makes perfect sense to them. So Pop pop, aka Ron agreed, after Gabe explained things, that his small gift would be from Caleb and the big one would be from Gabe. Thanks Pop pop! So here Caleb is giving Zach the small gift.
The gang Sean, Erin and Tony.
Gabe and Caleb bringing in the big gift.
The whole family is enjoying the Metallica DVD that Sean got for Zach.
Thanks Sean, cool gift Dude!

Well obviously he won't be learning how to play this any time soon but he looks cool holding his guitar.
Chicks dig guys with guitars, right?
Singing and candles

Jim and I had great fun playing WII with Ron and Jennifer since we were not cool enough to hang with the kids. Jim beat us all at golf and Jen kicked butt at bowling but I am certain that I would have won both had my game not been off from the wine. I did learn a valuable lesson about judging people without really knowing them. I thought that I have always tried to be careful not to pass judgment so carelessly since I myself have been victim to such judgments. It is probably a result of the ex-wife/ new wife and ex-husband/ new husband unspoken rule of automatic dislike but I find myself really liking the new wife. I believe we would probably be good friends if they lived nearby and we spent more time together. We had so much fun and the patience and kindness that they showed Gabe and Caleb was awesome. Also, Ron fixed our faulty outlet in our kitchen that could have burned the house down. Thanks Ron and kudos to our builder, electrician and the inspector, job well done boys! Oh and Nick had the pleasure of Mom in stereo!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DARLING

You are an amazing husband, father and best friend. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives! I hope you have a great day and your inspection goes well!

Since moving to NC 6 1/2 years ago one of the things that we both fell in love with were the sunsets. No matter what we are doing if we catch sight of one of these amazing sunsets we stop and enjoy the view together. I know that may sound korny to some but that is how we roll. Since the sun goes down before you will get home here are a couple of our amazing sunsets we love so much!
I LOVE YOU HHB!

MARINE CORPS BALL

Last night was the 232nd Marine Corps Birthday Ball and Mom and Dad's first. We all had a nice time and Jim was excited that they could be part of this tradition since the Marine Corps is such a big part of our lives.
What a handsome couple.
I decided to wear the same dress as last year since Mom picked it out for me during a visit a couple years ago and never got to see me wear it. I am very much like my mother and love spending time with her so we have tons of fun together.

My parents adore my husband and are very proud of him and he loves that they love him as if he were their son. We both appreciate that they go out of their way to visit several times a year to be part of our lives. My children only have contact with my parents so their love for them means so much. We adore our children so it is wonderful to have parents that adore them as well. They went out of their way to change the date of their visit to be here for me which also meant alot. We had an awesome week visiting with them and received good news as well.

JIM'S BIRTHDAY

We celebrated Jim's birthday a little early since we have the Marine Corps Ball tomorrow and Mom and Dad leave on Sunday.

The singing of the song.
Mom was happy to be here for "her boy's" birthday and she bought him some much needed running shoes. She spoils him too much! I think he's her favorite!

The gang!
Check out Nick's tough guy look! OOOH scary!

FAMILY HALLOWEEN PICS

For his first Halloween my great nephew Dominic was the cutest worm I've ever seen.
He looks like he enjoyed his first Halloween.
Daniel and Ashton and the costumes are obvious. They look very cute!
Ashton is full of attitude striking a pose and they both look very sweet.

OOPS, we forgot to carve our pumpkins! Good job on your pumpkins Daniel and Ashton!
OUR HALLOWEEN

Gabe and Caleb have been on a countdown til Mommom and Poppop's arrival. When they finally got here on Monday the boys quickly settled down to watch a movie with their Poppop. This was actually the first visit that Gabe really interacted with Mommom and Poppop even though they visit about three times a year. Mom and Dad have really enjoyed this time with him and he is very eager to have them move to NC.
Gabe was Naruto and Caleb was a ninja.

The girls were adorable in their Minnie costumes and Janine did an awesome job with their hair and makeup. Unfortunately, they became frightened by a neighbors house with loud scary effects and went home shortly after we started.
Zach was, well I'm not really sure, and Nick was a scary Jester.
Poppop, Angel, Mommom and Caleb. The boys were so excited to have Mommom and Poppop here for Halloween.
Gabe took a picture of his Mommom and Poppop.
Good job Gabe!
