NORTH CAROLINA'S SALUTE TO THE TROOPS
Last Saturday we went to Raleigh to attend the largest military tribute in the state since WWII. There was a parade, food and all military and their families had free admission to all of the museums. It was wonderful to see our military given the recognition that they and their families have earned! Kylie and Kelis Let the parade begin! They all deserve this kind of welcome home! Nick and Josh Janine, Rik and Star Kylie could not understand why these men were wearing skirts.
Send in the Marines! OOHRAH!
These Marines are from Camp Johnson.
This is the MARSOC ( Marine Special Operations Support Group) float. Jim is part of this command.
These are some of the wounded Marines from Camp Lejeune.
More men in skirts. The front motorcycle has a memorial to the fallen soldier on the back. Notice the Marine Corps flag on the back of the second bike. It was pretty impressive to see all these bikes riding in support of our military.
Here is Elizabeth Dole.
Something tells me she hadn't planned on being on the back of a bike. Gabe ringing the bell

Caleb, Nick, Josh, Gabe and Jim having fun with puppets. Nick and Josh playing with puppets.
I got one quick picture of Angel in the lady bug costume before my camera battery died. I confiscated Janines camera to take the rest since I am usually the one getting all the pictures while Janine and Jim play and Rik, well I'm not really sure what he does.
Later it was on to Marbles Museum which is a wonderful childrens museum with tons of fun things to do! The two amigos King Gabriel
Aaargh Gabe Pirate Jim Kelis, Esperanza, Angel and Kyie. I will post the rest of the pics from Janines camera later. There were too many for her to email!
