MY NEPHEW MIKE

Mike is currenty in boot camp in Georgia but the Army gives them a two week break for Christmas. I know, break, what break, that is unheard of for Marines. But I am really glad he got this time with our family. He has had a very difficult life and this is his opportunity to do something to better himself. I am very proud of his determination especially given the difficulties he faced throughout his life. I always thought he was a remarkable young man who deserved better.

He will be going to Iraq some time this year which terrifies me so hopefully Jim and I will make his graduation in February. Thanks for the pictures Robin.
