There was a twelve foot long alligator hit by a car and killed while crossing the highway in front of Elijahs high school. It weighed 475 pounds and was about 85 years old. It is pretty amazing to see. It is also a little scary to think that something that big and powerful was living in the woods. It is very sad to see such an old and amazing animal killed by our progress.
