Also, Happy Fathers Day to John Bruschi and Jimmy Knuckles, two really great dads!

HAPPY FIRST FATHERS DAY PAGE
You have begun a wonderful journey full of blessings! Hope your first Fathers Day is special!
Well, we got through surgery but not without a few tense moments. Elijah received a nerve block in his shoulder and had an allergic reaction. I was asked to leave for the nerve block. After being allowed back in to wait with him I noticed red blotches and his lips started to swell. Since he had three different medications at that point they were unsure which one was causing the reaction. It took two doses of Benadryl but the swelling stopped and the blotches faded. Of course, I was compltely freaked out by this point. After reassuring me that they would keep a close eye on him and a talk between me and God it was off to surgery. An hour and a half surgery turns into three!
After a twelve hour trip to the hospital I got to bring my boy home and watch over him. He is doing pretty well considering they had to remove the pain pump. After the third or maybe fourth allergic reaction we figured out the culprit. Forunately we have been able to maintain a comfortable pain level so far. My guy went through a lot and was a trooper through it all. He will be sleeping in the recliner for some time and has a difficult recovery with physical therapy but so far so good! My boys and Jim are my life so any thought of something happening to them terrifies me. Thanks for the prayers and thanks to God for the answered prayers! Mom loves you and is very proud of you Bubby!
Elijah has shoulder surgery tomorrow afternoon. Of course, I am very nervous as usual. I hate seeing them in pain and this is supposed to be a very painful surgery and recovery. So please keep him in your prayers for the surgery as well as the recovery.
Elijah won an award for the highest GPA in Marine Tech Academy. I spoke to one of his teachers and she told me how impressed they are with him at school and what an awesome young man he is. I am constantly amazed at how awesome all of my boys are and have felt incredibly blessed every day for the more than 20 years that I have had the honor to be their mother!
Caleb loves wrestling Zach on the trampoline. Zach is a pretty awesome big brother!
Now what possessed this silly man to get up on the sun room roof nobody will know. We are not drinkers so no alcohol was involved. This is the silliness that I love sooo much though!
Gabe got quite upset at Daddy being on the roof and quickly got off the trampoline to go inside and coax him in. Caleb on the other hand decided Daddy had a great idea.
Now who does this gorgeous man belong to? Oh yeah, he's all mine!
Austin, our nephew in Virginia, had an April birthday. Sorry for missing it but it looks as though you had a great day.
My niece Marsha and her husband Jesse are expecting their first child. A little boy who will be born in August and named Dominic. He will be my second great nephew, Moms second great grandson and Lynn's first grandchild.
I think she looks adorable and wish that I could be a bigger part of all of it. I used to change Marsha's diapers. Sorry about sticking you with a pin once Annie. I already know that she will be a great mom since her and her sister spent many weekends with me helping me with their cousins. She was a beautiful baby so I can't wait to see her little guy.
Momom and Popop will be leaving in the morning so we forced Mom to be in some pictures with the boys.
It was a productive visit because we managed to find Mom and Dad 2.07 acres and a wonderful builder. So if all goes as planned they will be able to move by March 08'.
Since they are the only Grandparents my boys have had it will be nice to have them close so they can be a bigger part of their lives. Caleb especially loves having them here. He has woke up every morning and run downstairs to see them. He has enjoyed breakfast on the deck with his Popop and walks outside with Popop and the dog. I dread having to tell him they will be leaving.
Daddy and the Lil guys.
